Privacy Policy

ZiZi (“the app”, “we”) creates AI portraits from your photos. The app works with images of faces, so we describe our data handling in detail rather than in general terms. Questions: support@ziziapp.net.

1. What we process

• Photos of your face that you upload to your AI Profile. Facial images may qualify as biometric or otherwise sensitive data.
• Generated images and your generation history, including failed attempts and the reason they failed.
• Sign-in data: your Apple or Google identifier, plus name, email address and profile picture if the provider supplies them. App-store reviewers can sign in with an access code instead of an account.
• Technical data: device identifier, platform and app version, the chosen model gender (it decides which styles you see), and a push notification token.
• Purchases and balance: which packs you bought and how many credits remain. We never receive your card details — the app store handles payment.
• Service records of in-app actions and errors, used for support, security and debugging.

2. Why we use it

• To create portraits from your photos.
• To show your history, favorites and balance.
• To add credits after a purchase and refund them when a generation fails.
• To notify you when a look is ready, if you allowed notifications.
• For support, moderation of reports, and protecting the service from abuse.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not use your photos to train models. Data is shared only as far as the service requires:

• AI generation providers. Your photos and the style prompt are sent to the provider that creates the image: Google (Gemini API), OpenAI or fal.ai. Which one is used depends on the style and on service availability.
• Payments. Purchases go through the built-in billing of whichever store the app was installed from: Google Play on Android and the App Store on iOS. Your card details never reach us — we only receive confirmation that the payment went through.
• Sign-in. Accounts are handled by Apple and Google.
• Notifications. Push messages are delivered by Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google).
• Storage. Files are kept on our servers and in Cloudflare R2 object storage.

4. Retention and deletion

Data is kept while your account exists. You can remove everything yourself: Settings → Delete account. This permanently erases your AI Profile, uploaded photos, generated looks, history and balance — both in the app and in our storage. A separate “Reset profile” button deletes only your uploaded selfies.

Records of free starter credits are tied to a device fingerprint and survive account deletion — otherwise free credits could be claimed endlessly by recreating accounts. Such a record contains none of your photos and cannot identify you.

5. Legal basis (EU, GDPR)

Facial images are processed on the basis of your explicit consent, given on first launch and confirmed when you upload photos. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data. Other data is processed to perform our contract with you (providing the service) and in our legitimate interest in security and abuse prevention.

6. Age

The app is not intended for anyone under 16. By uploading photos you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

7. Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, and withdraw consent. The fastest route to deletion is the button in the app; for anything else write to support@ziziapp.net and we will reply within 30 days.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page and in the app; the effective date at the top marks any material change.
